NASHVILLE, TN (February 22, 2008) – KOCH Records’ Seattle-based alternative rock band and winner of the 2007 “MTV2 Dew Circuit
Breakout,” The Myriad, is scheduled to release their highly anticipated sophomore
project With Arrows, With Poise on May 13, 2008.
Mixed at Hansa Studios in Berlin, Germany by Michael Ilbert (The Cardigans, Kent, The Hives) and mastered at historic Abbey Road Studios in London, England by Adam Nunn (AIR, Radiohead, Franz Ferdinand, George Martin, Mogwai) as well as acclaimed Sterling Sound in New York City by Greg Calbi (Beastie Boys, John Mayer, Interpol, Norah Jones), With Arrows, With Poise features lyrics of hope, doubt, heartache, and love, while drawing in audiences with their melodic strains earning them sing-a-long relationships with fans everywhere.
Barry Landis of KOCH Records states, “I've heard a lot of bands in my time, but there is something very captivating these guys have that few other bands have.” Not only were songs from The Myriad's first full length record, You Can't Trust a Ladder used on MTV’s hit reality show, Real World Denver, but MTV will use new songs from the forthcoming record With Arrows, With Poise for future shows. “I'll never forget hearing their demo for the very first time,” recalls Landis. “There is a real 'soul' in what they sing about and how they deliver it and With Arrows, With Poise exceeds that soul.”
The Myriad recently returned from a 26 date tour with highly acclaimed EMI/sixstepsrecords/Passion recording artist The David Crowder Band and is preparing to hit the road on the east coast with Sony/BMG/Provident recording artist Third Day at four House of Blues stops in Hollywood, San Diego, and Anaheim, California as well as Las Vegas, Nevada.
“A Clean Shot,” the first single from With Arrows, With Poise, is currently in rotation on MTV2 and scheduled to impact Alternative Rock radio on March 10, 2008. Backed by a new label and armed with a hotly-anticipated new record, 2008 promises to be a landmark year for The Myriad. The Myriad is made up of Jeremy Edwardson, John Roger Schofield, Steven Tracy, Jonathan Young and Randy Miller.
